A Tai Yai snack made from slicde green papaya, pump – kin and bottle gourd dipped in a floury batter and deep fried. It is usually served with a sauce made from nuts, sugar cane juice, tamarind juice, chillies garlic and salt.
A Tai Yai sweet made from glutinous rice mixed with sugar cane topped with thick coconut milk and toasted until caramelized.
A sweet/savory snack made from shredded coconut mixed with peanuts, garlic, palm sugar and fish sauce and then deep fride together. The process begins with frying the coconuts first. Followed by the peanusts and other ingredients until everything is crispy and ball up. After cooling down and absorbing the excess oli, it becomes a delicious ‘mieng’ (a local snack made from different savory filling wrapped in mieng leaves) filling.
Ha La Wa
A Tai Yai sweet made of rice flour, sugar, coconut milk and sago. The topping is similar to Seng Pe.
A savory dish made of cooked vermicelli noodles, shredded green papayatossed with dried shrimps, seasoned with sugar, fish sauce and tamarind juice and garnished with fried shallots, fried garlics, dried chillies and pork rinds.
Yum Kao Griab
A spicy sesame cracker salad made of local sesame crackers tossed with chilli jam, shrimp chilli dip and string beans, carrots and pork rinds.
